This is good news, It's a 100% Yes . Firstly because China has now overtaken the U.S. as the biggest emitter of greenhouse gases, its giant population generating just shy of a quarter of total global emissions. It must take responsibility for its emissions, and it appears to be, in its own way. So for them to start to takes the Lead in Energy Usage will be every important.
If the Chinese government
If the Chinese government would do something about all these Air Conditioning Units. Replace them for the bigger ones on top of the buildings. That would save a really big amount of energy. Because if I step on my balcony and look to the building on the other side, I can count 35 ac units (that's just one side, with some even out of sight for me)
Replace them with the big units those are much more efficient.

I can see that the ac here takes a lot of electricity. If I'm using one and then check the meter outside. I see it spin like crazy. And that's only one unit. i have 3 units now. But it's not uncommon to have 5 units for one household.
