It's certainly been a day of announcements and press conferences here at the Bella Centre, and we didn't want to miss Energy Secretary Steven Chu's this afternoon. The U.S. press room was packed but Susan and I were somehow able to get seats. Secretary Chu announced the launch of a Renewable and Efficiency Deployment Initiative, or Climate REDI. Here's a snapshot of the room, Secretary Chu, and a question coming all the way from Beijing, China -- we could see and hear it being asked on the big screen! Chu's new program will deploy renewable energy technologies in developing countries -- with a commitment of $350 million over five years.
